Letting Go

Picture this, you are going on a weekend trip to a beach that is a short flight away. You pack for the occasion get to the airport ready to enjoy your trip. You check into your flight and are ready to get to your destination. There is one problem. You have too much stuff. In order to board the plane, you must sift through your luggage and shed through all the things that you don't need.

Often times in life we carry around unnecessary baggage with us through life that does more harm than good. We call our baggage, precautionary, and protective mechanisms all to shield us from the natural paths of life.

Too often we seek the good without the bad, forgetting that the good could never truly be good unless you had the bad. For example, you have the option to choose a healthy lunch or a not so healthy lunch. The healthy lunch doesn't always look like a good option until after you have reaped the consequences of eating a bad lunch. And even then, in the future, you may prepare to continue to eat bad by taking different pills such as antacids, tums etc.

Going through life, carrying excess baggage stifles the person you were created to be.

Embracing the beauty of life's challenges instead of fearing them allows to walk in the balance of freedom over fear.
